On Tuesday we officially launched Wixi as part of the Techcrunch40 conference in San Francisco. The launch was unforgettable, and the conference was full of amazing networking opportunities and a lot of the industry’s biggest celebs: Marc Zuckenberg from Facebook, Marc Andreesen (founder Netscape & Opsware, co-founder Ning), David Filo (co-founder Yahoo), and Chad Hurley (co-founder YouTube).
The realization of our year of work on Wixi was in our eight-minute presentation on Tuesday afternoon, when we shared publicly for the first time the story of Wixi and a live demo of the product.
I especially want to thank Oleg, founder of Wixi for pushing the project with me everyday, Lisandro our CTO who did not sleep for 1 month 6 months, Seb our COO who is everywhere all the time, Mike and Jason for believing in us and all Wixi team to have worked 16 hours per day for this private launch. (Seb, Cyrille, Julie, Fabian, Francisco, Gabriel, Juan, Damian, Julien from LeDjam , LN from Xupito, Pablo from GotVertigo )
Also, now we want to satisfy and we are really happy with the first feedback and posts. Long life to Wixi!
Here are the pictures and videos of the event:

Hey, when I sign up, it says that I’ll get an email “soon” what does that mean? I did so about an hour ago and did so again just now and it says my username and email are still available. What gives? Also, after I signed up the first time (after following a link here from lastpodcast.net) I clicked on “LOG IN” in the header and found myself logged in as “Frederic” and not as “thepete” which is my user name. I know you’re still in beta, but that’s why I’m letting you know about this. |
